About the role

The Driver/Operator will be responsible for driving company vehicles and providing courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. They will also check shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and provide related customer service functions.

Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicles for package delivery and pickup
• Check shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service
• Provide related customer service functions
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED
• Licensed for type of vehicle assigned
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs.
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills
• Neat appearance due to customer contact
• Meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations
• Medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations
• Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
• At least 21 years of age

Qualifications

• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries and directions
• Non-covered safety-sensitive position
• Medical exam required

Preferred Qualifications

• Pay transparency: Compensation range is $23.21 - $32.83 per hour
• Full-time: Sunday through Thursday or Tuesday through Saturday shift
