Courier/DOT-2

Driver / operator of company vehicles. Provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and provides related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up packages courteously and efficiently
• Check shipments for conformance to FedEx service features
• Provide customer service related to shipments
• Perform other assigned duties

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid license for the type of vehicle assigned
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to maneuver packages above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills
• Neat appearance (customer contact required)
• Must meet qualifications outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
• Must pass a medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations
• Non-covered safety-sensitive position (medical exam required)
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safely
• At least 21 years of age
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to inquiries

Pay

The pay range for this position is $21–$25 per hour. In California, this reflects the range expected upon hire. In New Jersey, compensable Security and Walk time will be paid at the state minimum wage for non-exempt/hourly employees.
