About the Role

Driver/operator of company vehicles who provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and provides related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid license for type of vehicle assigned
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills
• Neat appearance (customer contact is required)
• Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
• Must pass a medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations
• Non-covered safety-sensitive position
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance

Pay

The compensation listed reflects the pay range or rate of pay reasonably expected for this posted position at the posted location(s). Actual pay is determined by several job-related factors permitted by law, including experience, tenure, market level, pay at the location, performance, schedule, and work assignment.

In California, the compensation listed reflects the range or rate of pay reasonably expected for this posted position upon hire. In New Jersey, any compensable Security and Walk time will be paid to non-exempt/hourly employees at the state minimum wage.
