About the role

Driver/operator of company vehicles who provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and provides related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned.

Schedule

Part-time, Monday through Saturday with one day off (to be determined). Work hours will be scheduled between 6:30 a.m. and 9:30 p.m., based on operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to deliver and pick up packages.
• Check shipments for conformance to FedEx service features.
• Provide customer service related to deliveries and pickups.
• Perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license for the type of vehicle assigned.
• Must meet qualifications outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSA).
• Ability to lift 50 lbs; maneuver packages above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance.
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
• Neat appearance (customer contact required).
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to inquiries.

Preferred Qualifications

• Flexible availability within the scheduled hours (6:30 a.m. – 9:30 p.m.).

Pay

$21.05 per hour.
