This position is open to BDFA Full-Time Employees only.

About the role

Driver/operator of company vehicles. Provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and provides related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned.

Schedule

• Monday–Saturday (day off TBD)
• Hours of availability: 05:00–19:00
• Hours may change based on operational needs

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months at the BDFA Station
• High school diploma or GED
• Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned
• Class C License required within 60 days of hire
• Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
• Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations
• Non-covered safety-sensitive position
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries

Skills & Abilities

• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to maneuver packages above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills
• Neat appearance (customer contact required)
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner

Preferred Qualifications

Must obtain non-CDL Class C license within 30 days of hire.

Pay

Pay range: $23.16–$34.39 per hour. In New Jersey, any compensable Security and Walk time will be paid to non-exempt/hourly employees at the state minimum wage.
