This position helps the child welfare staff by supporting direct services to youth and families while also completing daily office tasks that keep the agency running smoothly. The work brings together service, communication, and hands-on assistance.

Responsibilities

• Appointment Coordination: Schedule medical, dental, and other appointments for clients and arrange transportation to each location
• Client Transportation: Drive clients to foster homes, court hearings, activities, or other required destinations
• Family Assistance: Help families with home tasks, meal planning, budgeting, and everyday living needs
• Child Supervision: Supervise children during office visits and support crisis situations in the home
• Clerical Support: Complete mail handling, filing, data entry, phone coverage, and document preparation for case files
• Community Information: Provide basic details to clients and community members about available agency services

Requirements

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Graduation from high school; or
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience.

Other Requirements:

• Possession of a valid driver’s license which is not under suspension.
• Must meet the PA residency requirement.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

• A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening.
• This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
• Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI
