County Caseworker 2 (Local Government) - Union County C&Y
Description of Work
This role focuses on supporting the safety and stability of children and families through careful assessment and ongoing guidance. As a County Caseworker 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Initial Assessments: Gather information, assess home stability, and evaluate caregiver capabilities
- Safety Actions: Identify risks, implement safety responses, and coordinate needed services
- Family Engagement: Maintain contact with families and community partners to support progress
- Case Documentation: Prepare detailed case notes, reports, and required forms
- Service Coordination: Refer families to appropriate agency and community supports
Work Schedule and Additional Information
Full-time employment. Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Overtime and on-call rotation is a requirement of employment. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time after 6 months. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Lewisburg, PA.
