County Casework Supervisor (Local Government) - Washington County C&Y (Multiple Vacancies)

About the role

County Casework Supervisors guide daily operations, mentor staff, and ensure that children and families receive timely and effective services. The role focuses on leadership, coordination, and oversight of casework activities.

Responsibilities

• Casework Oversight: Coordinate and review casework activities to support consistent service delivery
• Staff Supervision: Direct work assignments, provide guidance, and ensure compliance with agency standards
• Court Preparation: Review documents, prepare reports, and assist with required filings and hearings
• Training Support: Help caseworkers build skills through coaching, workshops, and performance review input
• Interagency Coordination: Collaborate with partner agencies to support child and family services
• Policy Compliance: Ensure practices align with laws, regulations, and agency procedures

Schedule

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch
• Includes working evening and weekend hours, as well as performing on-call duties
• No telework option available

Requirements

Minimum Experience and Training

• Two years of professional experience in public or private social work and a bachelor's degree with major course work in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and education which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences

Other Requirements

• Must meet the PA residency requirement
• Must be able to perform essential job functions
• Must pass a background investigation, medical examination, and drug screening
• Must submit and obtain approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance
