Key Responsibilities
- Tackle unstructured problems with independence and a rigorous, detailed approach.
- Monitor economic, political and policy trends to better anticipate changes in business environments that will affect Nomura.
- Form and communicate relevant opinions through a variety of channels, including written pieces, data visualization and presentations.
- Cover a portfolio of countries, sovereigns, sub-sovereigns and/or supranationals in the Americas region and make relevant credit risk decisions.
- Participate in credit-sensitive transactions affecting challenging countries in the Americas region.
- Maintain and update a risk portfolio, while meeting internal and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate across the firm and support other risk managers and senior management.
Required Qualifications
- Post-graduate in economics, political science, finance or other relevant discipline.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, with proven ability to be resourceful and efficient.
- Strong analytical skills and flexible thinking across disciplines.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member with regional and global responsibilities.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Willingness to work hard and flexibly in a rewarding environment.
- Solid professional experience that reflects above skills.
- Preference for in-region experience (Latin America) in analytical capacity.
- Spanish fluency is preferred.
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $120,000 - $180,000 per year*. Additional compensation and benefits information can be found below.
