Counter Sales Representative - Trenton, NJ

Responsibilities

• Greet walk‑in customers and assist with order and product selection.
• Enter sales orders and pick items from warehouse inventory.
• Prepare customer sales tickets and collect customer payments.
• Handle phone‑in customers with pleasant and courteous etiquette.
• Maintain counter‑area displays clean, organized, and stocked with inventory.
• Reach monthly goals in sales and gross margin.
• Encourage the use of digital tools across the customer base.
• Multi‑task and continually prioritize tasks throughout the day.

Requirements

• Sales experience and/or electrical knowledge preferred.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong mathematics, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate information and present solutions to customers.
• Proficiency with computers and relevant software.
• Ability to prioritize needs in a fast‑paced environment.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for the full length of the assigned shift.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull material and objects weighing up to 50 lb (heavier weights with proper equipment).
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb to perform various duties.
• Ability to operate appropriate powered industrial trucks safely.
• Training will be provided.
• Work is performed in both retail and warehouse settings.

Pay

Salary Range: $21 – $24 per hour

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 7 am – 5 pm
