Counter Sales Representative - Plumbing & HVAC

About the role

Ferguson is seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Counter Sales Representative. Hours: Monday-Friday 7 am – 5pm working 40 hours plus Saturday rotation every 8 weeks 7:30am-12pm. Pay: Starts at $20.60 per hour and could be more based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides advice to customers regarding the best products to fit their needs
• Processes orders via order management system
• Operates cash registers and follows established cash handling procedures
• Prepares and stages orders for customer pick up
• Maintains store appearance and merchandising standards as advised
• Maintains a safe working environment including PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
• Ensures that merchandise is restocked and placed in their respective areas
• Must adhere to all safety regulations, including the correct usage of personal protective equipment (PPE). This includes wearing a safety harness with a maximum weight capacity of 400 lbs

Qualifications

• 3-5 years customer service and/or sales experience preferred
• 1+ years of plumbing and/or HVAC product knowledge strongly preferred
• General computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required
• Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise
• General math skills to allow for cash accounting
• An ability to learn is a must have!
• Excellent decision making and communication skills

Pay

Pay Range: $20.60 - $28.82 Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles. This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
