About the role
Rexel USA is one of the largest distributors of electrical products, data communication, wireless communication and related supplies in the United States. The Counter Sales Representative will join the Platt team in East Portland, OR, providing immediate service and product knowledge to customers while supporting branch operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers promptly and courteously with purchases, order processing, and returns
- Drive electrical distribution sales for the counter business and develop new and existing customer relationships
- Assist with daily restocking, showroom maintenance, and keeping showroom and counter clean and organized
- Support warehouse functions as needed, including receiving, shipping, stocking, and deliveries
- Stay informed and educated on product knowledge
- Assist inside sales as needed
- Inform management of any potential hazards or elevated situations pertaining to safety or customer satisfaction
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 2+ years of customer service, sales, or electrical distribution experience preferred
- Previous branch experience preferred
- High School diploma or GED required
- Electrical product knowledge and experience, including lighting, switchgear, controls, and electrical commodities preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in electrical distribution or other electrical sales environments preferred
- Familiarity with automated order entry systems and PCs running Windows-based software preferred
