About the role

The Counter Sales Representative plays a crucial role in maintaining product knowledge and promoting new products. This position involves assisting customers during the sales process, fulfilling sales orders, managing customer relationships, staying updated on product knowledge, organizing point of sale displays, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring accuracy in pricing and signage.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers during the sales process using ERP software, maintaining a professional sales demeanor.
  • Track and fulfill sales orders by picking orders, creating appropriate documentation, and placing follow-up calls.
  • Maintain and develop customer relationships.
  • Actively stay up to date on product knowledge and generate product stock requests.
  • Arrange and organize point of sale displays and shelves to ensure products are visually appealing.
  • Monitor inventory levels, rotate stock, and replenish merchandise.
  • Ensure all pricing, labels, and promotional signage are accurate and visible.
  • Create and maintain positive working relationships and a safe and clean environment.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, as determined by Echo Electric.
  • A minimum of one year experience in the electrical industry and/or knowledge of electrical products.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, stay organized, and work within a team.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and traverse the warehouse with or without accommodation.
  • Basic problem-solving skills and computer skills.
  • Completion of EDGE and EPEC Bronze Level or commitment to complete such training within 18 months of starting job assignment.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent, as determined by Echo Electric.
  • One year experience in the electrical industry and/or knowledge of electrical products.
  • Effective communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
  • Standing and moving abilities.
  • Basic problem-solving and computer skills.
  • Completion of EDGE and EPEC Bronze Level or commitment to complete such training within 18 months of starting job assignment.
