About the role
The Counter Sales Representative plays a crucial role in maintaining product knowledge and marketing new products. They assist customers during the sales/purchase process and respond to inquiries professionally. Additionally, they assist with warehouse functions as needed.
Responsibilities
- Market and promote new products
- Assist customers during the sales/purchase process
- Respond to customer inquiries professionally
- Assist with warehouse functions as needed
- Track and fulfill sales orders by picking orders, creating documentation, and placing follow-up calls
- Maintain and develop customer relationships
- Stay updated on product knowledge and generate product stock requests
- Arrange and organize point of sale displays and shelves
- Monitor inventory levels, rotate stock, and replenish merchandise
- Ensure all pricing, labels, and promotional signage are accurate and visible
- Create and maintain positive working relationships and a safe, clean environment
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year experience in the electrical industry or knowledge of electrical products
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and navigate the warehouse
- Basic problem-solving and computer skills
- Completion of EDGE and EPEC Bronze Level or commitment to complete such training within 18 months of starting job assignment
