About the role

Capital Electric is seeking an individual eager to start a career in the Electrical Distribution Industry at our Upper Marlboro, MD location. As a Counter Sales Associate, you will sell products to customers, assist with product selection, and build customer relationships to ensure Capital Electric remains the Electrical Distributor of Choice.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming customer phone calls
• Greet walk-in customers
• Assist customers with orders and provide appropriate product selection
• Pick customer orders from the warehouse and bring them to the counter
• Prepare customer sales tickets and process charges
• Promote and sell company product promotions
• Provide assistance with certain warehouse functions
• Reach monthly sales and gross margin goals
• Maintain courtesy and politeness toward customers
• Multi-task and prioritize daily responsibilities
• Perform other duties as required

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Sales experience and/or electrical knowledge preferred (training provided for the right candidate)
• Strong mathematics, verbal, and written communication skills
• Computer and MS Office literacy
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 70 lbs. occasionally
• Reliable, responsible, and strong work ethic

Pay

$18 - $23 per hour with commission potential.
