About the role
We are hiring a Counter Sales Representative in Dallas, TX. This position is open and requires Monday - Friday, no weekend work!
Responsibilities
- Partner with customers to provide industrial, medical, and specialty gases, welding equipment, and other essential supplies.
- Advising customers on the tools, hardware, and materials needed to complete their projects.
- Demonstrating equipment use and sharing insights on product quality to help customers pioneer new solutions.
- Ensuring adherence to company policies including safety and the use of personal protective equipment.
- Providing excellent customer service to both internal and external partners.
- Aiding in the accurate completion of required paperwork, including coding, costing, and pricing.
- Identifying the best tools and procedures for customers' specific tasks and demonstrating equipment use to build customer confidence.
- Managing order entry and processing transactions; assisting with deposit reconciliation.
- Coordinating with customers and team members to provide helpful information on costs and delivery; implementing an outgoing call strategy.
- Cooking up merchandise transfers between locations to meet customer needs.
- Maintaining a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a supportive manner.
- Stocking shelves and maintaining welcoming showroom displays.
- Coordinating cylinder movement and pallet organization.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in product, warehouse, or sales environments (equivalent combination of education and unique life experience is also considered).
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
- Experience in industrial retail, inside sales, or inventory control is a plus.
- Attention to detail in handling transactions.
- Availability for occasional overtime when the team needs extra support.
- Ability to operate in a drug-free workplace.
Qualifications
- HS Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in product, warehouse, or sales environments (we also value an equivalent combination of education and unique life experience).

Skills
- A background in gas, welding, or safety supplies is a wonderful asset.
- Familiarity with SAP, Google, or MS Office Applications.
- A detailed understanding of SAP and PROS functionalities.
- The ability to communicate clearly and warmly with a wide variety of people from different backgrounds.

Pay
