Counter Sales Representative

About the role

We are hiring a Counter Sales Representative in Kahului, HI. This position offers a starting salary of $19-24/hr. with bonus opportunities. The role is Monday-Friday, no weekends.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted guide, advising customers on the tools, hardware, and materials needed to complete their projects.
• Demonstrate equipment use to build customer confidence.
• Manage order entry and processes transactions.
• Assist the team with the reconciliation of deposits.
• Coordinate via phone, e-mail, and in person with customers and team members to provide helpful information on costs and delivery.
• Contribute to an outgoing call strategy to support the continued growth and success of the branch.
• Cook up merchandise between locations to meet customer needs.
• Stock shelves and maintain welcoming showroom displays to provide an excellent customer experience.
• Cook up cylinder movement and pallet organization.

Requirements

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in product, warehouse, or sales environments (equivalent combination of education and unique life experience is also considered).
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
• Experience in industrial retail, inside sales, or inventory control is a plus.
• Attention to detail in handling transactions.
• Availability for occasional overtime when the team needs extra support.
• Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.

Qualifications

• Required: HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred: A background in gas, welding, or safety supplies is a wonderful asset. Familiarity with SAP, Google, or MS Office Applications. A detailed understanding of SAP and PROS functionalities.
