Counter Sales Person

About the role

The Counter Sales Person assists customers during the sales/purchase process and responds to inquiries professionally.

Responsibilities

• Maintain product knowledge and promote all products sold.
• Suggest replacement/alternative products when necessary.
• Work in a constant state of awareness and in a safe manner.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• One year experience in the electrical industry or knowledge of electrical products.
• Strong mathematical ability.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel).
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Demonstrated time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Strong customer service orientation.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
• Use a computer keyboard, monitor, and telephone.
• Bend, climb, push, and pull, including maneuvering at heights and in tight/small places.
• Routinely lift/carry work-related materials weighing up to 70 lbs., occasionally up to 70 lbs.
