Counter Sales Lead

Job Duties

• Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers promptly and courteously with their purchases and processing of their orders or returns
• Aid in driving electrical distribution sales for our counter business and developing new and existing customer relationships
• Train and mentor Counter Sales Representatives
• Stay informed and educated on product knowledge
• Inform manager of any potentially hazard or elevated situation pertaining to safety or the satisfaction of a customer
• Assist with daily restocking, showroom maintenance, and keeping showroom and counter clean and organized
• May be required to perform other job functions within a branch when required including but not limited to inside sales, preparing and filling orders and/or receiving, stocking, staging, and shipping material, and maintaining branch equipment
• May be required to make deliveries up to 20% of the time

Qualifications

• 4+ years of customer service, sales, or electrical distribution experience preferred
• Previous branch experience preferred
• Certification to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment preferred
• High School or GED - Required
• Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Electrical product knowledge and experience, including lighting, switchgear, controls, and electrical commodities
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience of electrical distribution or other electrical sales environments
• Familiarity with automated order entry systems & PCs running Windows-based software
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate on all levels within internal and external groups
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Good team player
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work efficiently and meet tight deadlines
• Ability to type on a computer keyboard
• Great attitude
• Desire to improve electrical product knowledge

• Pay: $26.36 to $32.95, depending upon qualifications, experience, and other considerations permitted by law
• Commission/Bonus Plan: Platt Branch Pool Plan
