Counter Sales

About the role

We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented, and customer-focused individual to join our team as a counter sales associate. This role is ideal for someone with an interest in HVAC or plumbing products, strong communication skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. You will be a key point of contact for customers—answering inquiries, recommending products, processing transactions, and ensuring a clean, organized work environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting with product inquiries and purchases.
• Recommend products tailored to customers’ needs and preferences.
• Accurately process sales transactions and maintain computer records.
• Keep the work environment clean, organized, and safe.
• Stay informed on product features, pricing, and availability.
• Collaborate with team members to meet sales goals and service targets.
• Maintain up-to-date product knowledge and monitor industry trends.
• Assist with inventory management, stocking shelves, and coordinating material transfers between branches and vendors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior customer service, retail, or sales experience strongly preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Computer proficiency required; HVAC or plumbing knowledge is a plus (not required).
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to changes in product offerings.
• Flexibility to work weekends or evenings as needed.
