Counter Sales Associate

About the role

We are hiring a Counter Sales Associate in Fond du Lac, WI. Our ideal candidate will contribute to a dynamic, industrial environment by providing industrial, medical, and specialty gases, welding equipment, and other essential supplies. The position requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Partner with customers to provide industrial, medical, and specialty gases, welding equipment, and other essential supplies.
• Adhere to company policies including safety and the use of personal protective equipment to ensure a secure environment for everyone.
• Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external partners, fostering understanding and long-term relationships.
• Ensure all required paperwork is accurately completed, including coding, costing, and pricing.
• Demonstrate equipment use to build customer confidence.
• Manage order entry and processes transactions; assist the team with the reconciliation of deposits.
• Coordinate with customers and team members to provide helpful information on costs and delivery.
• Contribute to an outgoing call strategy to support the continued growth and success of the branch.
• Cook up merchandise between locations to meet customer needs.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a supportive manner with customers, vendors, and colleagues.
• Stock shelves and maintain welcoming showroom displays to provide an excellent customer experience.
• Coordinate cylinder movement and pallet organization.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in product, warehouse, or sales environments (equivalent combination of education and unique life experience may also be considered).
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
• Experience in industrial retail, inside sales, or inventory control is a plus.
• Attention to detail in handling transactions.
• Availability for occasional overtime when the team needs extra support.
• Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.

Qualifications

• AHS Diploma or equivalent required.

Pay

$23.50 per hour plus bonus opportunities!
