About the role

The Nordstrom Beauty Department seeks individuals passionate about customer service and beauty trends to join our team as a Beauty Counter Manager. This role combines elements of sales and education, focusing on creating personalized beauty experiences and building a loyal customer base.

Responsibilities

• Conduct makeup applications, skincare analyses, and recommend products based on customer needs
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a welcoming and inclusive environment
• Set and achieve personal and counter sales goals using in-store and digital selling tools
• Manage vendor events and promotions, and build strong vendor relationships
• Keep the department customer-ready through organization and cleanliness
• Stay updated on the latest beauty trends, products, and industry knowledge through training
• Own the Nordstrom Rewards program to build customer loyalty
• Work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends

Requirements

• Passion for customer service and beauty, including trends, makeup application, and skincare
• Excellent ability to connect with customers and handle customer concerns
• Empathy and respect for all customers, providing a supportive environment during makeup and skincare application
• Strong multitasking, organization, and follow-through skills
• Drive to achieve sales goals, with interest in using networking and technology
• Continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching
• Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling
• Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in a sales or customer service role
• Knowledge of beauty trends and products
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay

The pay range for this role is $31.95 - $33.25 hourly, depending on the location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Schedule

This role requires a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
