About the role

The Nordstrom Beauty Department seeks to enhance customers' confidence and style. As a Beauty Counter Manager, you will lead personalized beauty experiences, collaborate with the team to create an inclusive environment, and drive sales.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct makeup applications, skincare analyses, and product recommendations based on customer goals
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure a welcoming and inclusive store environment
  • Create and achieve personal and counter sales goals using in-store and digital tools
  • Schedule and execute vendor events and promotions
  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to boost business performance
  • Keep the department ready for customers through organization and cleanliness
  • Stay updated on beauty trends, products, and industry knowledge through provided training
  • Manage sales, refunds, exchanges, and encourage new Nordstrom Rewards account openings

Requirements

  • Passion for customer service and beauty, including trends, makeup application, and skincare
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to connect with customers and handle concerns professionally
  • Empathy towards all customers, ensuring a supportive environment during services
  • Strong multitasking, organizational, and follow-through skills
  • Drive to meet sales targets, interested in networking and technology
  • Able to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends
  • High level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability

Qualifications

  • Continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching
  • Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling
  • Regularly lift up to 10 pounds, occasionally up to 25 pounds
