About the role
Responsible for all aspects of the slot drop processes in accordance with Mississippi Gaming Regulations, a System of Internal Controls, and Harrah’s Gulf Coast policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Collect Bill Validator boxes from slot machines on the casino floor as quickly as possible each day to minimize interruption on the gaming floor. Drop functions include drop set-up, bill validator replacement, retrieving from slot machines, and transporting BV carts to the soft count room.
- Utilize all drop equipment properly, taking special care around gaming tables, slot machines, upholstered furniture, and doorways containing millwork.
- Assist other departments with special projects related to the drop process or requiring specialized use of drop equipment.
- Sort, count, and record contents of table game drop boxes and currency drop boxes according to set procedures.
- Balance funds and create daily reports.
- Operate Currency Counter equipment and conduct minor repairs and maintenance.
- Perform weekly and monthly inventory counts.
- Drop and replenish NRT terminals; build NRT cassettes for future drops if necessary.
- Perform duties as assigned while maintaining professionalism and encouraging others to do the same.
- Alert appropriate team members about technical problems with games or systems.
- Adhere to attendance guidelines, regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
- Enforce Project 21 policy and procedures by monitoring the area for underage gamblers.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must possess or be able to obtain a Mississippi Gaming License.
- Must be flexible to work any shift, including grave shift.
- Basic mechanical (repair) ability preferred.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, twist, grip, and kneel repetitively and lift up to 40 pounds.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to carry Bill Validator boxes filled with currency or push/pull carts filled with Bill Validator boxes with assistance.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be detail-oriented and possess basic math skills.
- Must be able to work under constant surveillance.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting and independently.
- Must present a well-groomed appearance and adhere to uniform/appearance requirements.
- Able to accept direction from Senior Leadership.
- Available to work any shift, holidays, and weekends.
- Able to tolerate cigarette/cigar smoke and e-cigarette vapor.
- Responds to visual and aural cues.
- Must have manual dexterity to operate equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopy machines, ten-key, printers, and manual tugs.
- Ability to appreciate and work well with team members of various ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
