Counselor- Substance Use Treatment (32 or 40 hrs)

We help people rebuild self-esteem and reestablish productive family roles through services including medication-assisted treatment, diagnostic assessment, relapse prevention, support groups, addiction education, and counseling.
About the role
We are seeking a Full-time Counselor (32 or 40 hours) for our South Portland, ME facility. The primary role is to provide services to individuals with a primary diagnosis of Opiate Use Disorder, utilizing the 12 Core Functions of Substance Use Disorder Counseling. This position also serves as a Peer Recovery Coach, assisting patients who are not on caseload with Health Homes Case Management Services.
Responsibilities
- Conduct clinical assessments to determine appropriate level of treatment
- Provide individual and group counseling services to patients
- Complete accurate and timely patient documentation and maintain up-to-date records
- Provide case-management and referral services
- Adhere to patient confidentiality as required by Federal and State Law and Regulations
- Maintain state-required certifications and attend required trainings
- Engage in outreach and networking activities
Requirements
- High school Diploma or GED
- CADC or LADC certification required
- Good communication skills
- Ability to be adaptable and flexible in a busy environment
- Strong decision-making skills

Pay
$27/hour plus bonus incentive. Schedule: 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM.
