About the role

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates assigned prevention and wellness programs and initiatives for the School Health Program (SHP).
  • Assists with development and implementation of prevention and wellness programming.
  • Assists with communication, data collection, and outreach activities.
  • Manages relationships with internal and external partners and stakeholders.
  • Provides mental health evaluations and treatments for patients in the SHP, approximately 3 to 21 years of age.
  • May provide mental health services at off-campus locations based on the assigned area (e.g., in schools).
  • Performs diagnostic assessments, individual psychotherapy treatment, group therapy/counseling sessions, and crisis intervention services.
  • Collaborates with members of medical and mental health teams as needed.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or other Behavioral Health-related field from an accredited institution.
  • Currently licensed by the State of Ohio as a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).
  • 2 years of post-Master's experience working with patients as a clinical Social Worker or Counselor.
  • Experience working with pediatric patients.
  • Experience managing a case load of patients.
  • Demonstrated program coordination skills.
  • Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Suite of products, including Word and Excel.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong time management and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable transportation to travel to designated community locations.
  • Ability to interact effectively with diverse populations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently licensed by the State of Ohio as a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervision (LISW-S) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervision (LPCC-S).
  • Experience with psychiatric evaluations and dispositions.
  • Experience with therapeutic interventions and treatment planning.
  • Interest in community outreach and engagement.
  • Experience with community health program principles, practices, and techniques.
  • Experience with trauma-informed care and principles.
  • Knowledge of social determinants of health.

Physical Demands

  • Sit, stand, walk, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day.
  • May need to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • See in the normal visual range with or without correction.
  • Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
  • Finger dexterity to operate office equipment.
  • May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion.
