COUNSELOR - INDEPENDENCE INN V

Responsibilities

• Ensures quality care for residents in health, safety, clothing, hygiene, and meals.
• Establishes and supervises ADL routines including house jobs, room chores, wake-ups, lights-out, laundry, and cooking.
• Supervises individual and group activities such as trips, sporting events, crafts, etc.
• Upholds all elements of the behavior management system, including restriction system, negotiations, and various confrontation techniques and responses.
• Attends to the educational/vocational, health, and mental health needs of residents.
• Models positive behavior and confronts negative behavior appropriately.
• Commits to the program's mission by supporting a safe, orderly, and caring environment.
• Completes field work as needed.
• Performs any other assigned tasks.

Qualifications

• External High School diploma is required.
• Three years’ experience working with adolescents.
