Counselor II - Travel
Job Description
Manage tasks that vary in complexity based on client needs.
Serve as a resource person with participants, families, human service agencies, employers, central office staff, One Stop Staff, Host Agencies, employers, and service providers.
Apply knowledge in counseling, social work, case management, and federal guidelines.
Help participants achieve independence and employment.
- Create an individual employment plan for participants.
- Case manage participants.
- Recruit qualified participants from the 55+ population.
- Create new partnerships with nonprofit organizations.
- Place participants into training and unsubsidized employment opportunities.
- Ensure employment placement goals are met quarterly.
- Make independent decisions in participant interactions with guidance on policy and funding.
- Drive between assigned offices using one's own vehicle.
Skills and Experience Required
- Minimum of ten years of experience involving case management.
- The ability to pay attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well with a team and independently.
- Computer proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Teams.
- Able to schedule and manage tasks effectively.
- Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
- Organizational and multitasking skills.
