About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to provide comprehensive substance use treatment services at our residential community corrections treatment center in Humble, TX, serving adult male and female clients. In this role, you will facilitate individual and group counseling sessions, develop and implement personalized treatment plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, evidence-based care. Responsibilities

  • Completes comprehensive assessments of clients’ substance abuse history and treatment requirements, and develops individualized treatment plans.
  • Provides individual and group counseling and may facilitate didactic groups.
  • Documents treatment and discharge plans, and clients’ progress and responses to treatment; and maintains related records and charts.
  • Performs case management and contributes to client care monitoring.

Requirements

  • LCDC is required.
  • At least six months previous experience in substance abuse or mental health counseling preferred.
  • Master's or Bachelor’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field required.
  • Experience in a corrections environment preferred.

Work Environment

  • Working with adult nonviolent clients in a controlled and structured setting for residential treatment.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Pay

$21.00 - $23.00 per hour (based on experience and credentials). Gateway Foundation conducts annual reviews including merit increases.
