About the role

The Substance Use Disorder Counselor I, working under their certification, provides treatment services to patients in the continuum of behavioral health services across the system.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessments
• Provide therapeutic interventions
• Deliver direct patient care
• Ensure clinical records are accurate
• Collaborate with community treatment providers and internal team members
• Participate in team meetings

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• CADC or LADC from the respective licensing Board of the State of Maine
• Behavioral health experience working with or treating patients with substance use disorders, including internship prior to becoming a CADC or LADC
