Counselor

About the role

Spero Health is seeking a Counselor to join their team in Smyrna, TN. The ideal candidate will support the mission of “Saving Lives, Instilling Hope and Restoring Relationships” by providing counseling, case management, and medically assisted treatment within an integrated team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessment and ongoing patient care.
• Provide counseling to patients using evidenced-based practices.
• Provide patient education.
• Ensure accountability of treatment programs and patient compliance through collaboration.
• Aid patients in setting realistic goals for achieving freedom from addiction.
• Act as a clinic resource and ensure compliance with HIPAA and CFR42 Part 2 regulations.

Requirements

• Licensed Counselor/Licensed Social Worker (LADAC II, LCSW, LMSW, LMFT, LPC-MHSP, or LPC-MHSP)
• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Substance Abuse Treatment
• Minimum of 1 year of full-time employment/internship in a human-services setting

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a behavioral science field
