Counselor
About the role
The Counselor is responsible for serving as a role model and engineer of a social learning treatment milieu. They provide counseling services including group programming and meetings, individual counseling, case management services, and clinical documentation. They work closely with Virginia Department of Corrections personnel to ensure quality services and promote a healing environment where people with substance use disorders can learn to live in recovery as returning citizens.
Responsibilities

- Provide counseling services including group programming and meetings, individual counseling, case management services, and clinical documentation.
- Work closely with Virginia Department of Corrections personnel to ensure quality services and promote a healing environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Services field is required.
- State certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) in the state of Virginia or similar certification/license recognized by the Virginia Board of Professional Counselors is required within two (2) years of signing job description.

Pay
$52,000 per year ($25.00/hr.), with an additional $5,000 bonus available. Pay rate may vary based on qualifications and certifications.
Schedule
Full-time, 40 hours. Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM or 7:45 AM-4:45 PM with a 1 hour unpaid lunch break.
