Counselor

About the role

Candidate will be responsible for establishment, coordination, and development of housing assistance services for eligible persons. Candidate will develop and build relationships with landlords and the local housing community, establish and maintain housing information for persons in Warren, Granville, Lee, and Vance counties. Complete and process assessment for persons living with HIV/AIDS with housing needs and identify the housing needs of the eligible participants in the network service area.

This counselor/housing assistance specialist will assist with referrals to affordable housing resources, assist in locating available, affordable and appropriate housing units, work with property owners and case managers to secure units for participants, homelessness prevention, and other housing-related activity.

Required Qualifications at this Level

• Candidate must have HOPWA oversight Training and HOPWA Financial Management Training as well as one year experience working in a HOPWA program with participants

Pay

Duke University provides an annual base salary range for this position as USD $45,896.00 to USD $73,441.00.
