About the role
This role provides advanced professional counseling skills in the field of counseling or social work. Utilizes specialized skills to counsel students and other clients with complex personal, educational, vocational, or related problems. Responsible for assisting with outreach services.
Responsibilities
- Provides individual and group counseling; formulates and diagnoses individual problems and suggests remedial treatment; assists clients with complex career, personal, social and walk-in counseling.
- Serves as Counselor on Duty (COD) providing urgent assessment and intervention for students with complex academic, developmental, and bio-psychosocial distress.
- Develops and facilitates a variety of outreach activities including groups, workshops, and campus screening sessions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in social work, clinical or counseling psychology, or counseling.
- Three (3) years of relevant experience in a clinical counseling setting.
- Licensed Mental Health Provider in the state of Texas.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a college mental health environment.
- Two (2) years outreach services experience.
- Microsoft Office Suite, Presentation and organizational skills.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong presentation and organizational skills.
Pay
The annual salary for this position ranges from $62,000 to $67,999. The final offer will be commensurate with the candidate’s relevant experience and qualifications.
Schedule
Monday through Friday; 8:00 am through 5:00 pm. Occasional events outside of normal working hours.
