Counsel/Senior Counsel, Commercial

About the role

The successful candidate will provide strategic legal counsel that enables commercial growth and value creation. They will lead the drafting, negotiation, and execution of complex commercial agreements while balancing risk, opportunity, and business objectives. Collaboration with business, legal, and compliance partners is key to navigating regulatory requirements, international trade matters, and evolving legal challenges. The role involves supporting strategic investments, commercial transactions, and dispute resolution efforts by delivering practical, solution-oriented legal guidance.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal counsel that enables commercial growth and value creation.
• Lead the drafting, negotiation, and execution of complex commercial agreements while balancing risk, opportunity, and business objectives.
• Collaborate with business, legal, and compliance partners to navigate regulatory requirements, international trade matters, and evolving legal challenges.

Requirements

• Experience as a practicing lawyer and active member of a state bar in good standing.
• Experience in complex commercial matters.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfort adopting and applying legal technology and AI tools to improve outcomes.

• Proven ability to lead complex commercial transactions.
