Responsibilities
- Monitor and advise on global privacy and data protection regulations
- Advises commercial legal teams on contract negotiations regarding privacy and AI terms
- Affixes third-party assurance team with privacy-related inquiries
- Reviews new business initiatives for legal risks related to privacy and AI
- Advise marketing on compliance with privacy laws and AI-related obligations
- Develops and maintains internal training materials for privacy compliance
- Coordinates with teams and outside counsel on data privacy issues
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor degree or equivalent
- Qualified to practice law in at least one U.S. state
- 2-4 years post-qualification experience in privacy and data protection, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence
- Experience with HIPAA, GLBA, and related privacy and AI laws
- In-house legal experience preferred, especially in financial services or healthcare
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills
- CIPP certification preferred
Pay
- $136,900 – $163,400 annually
