Counsel | Employment Law

For our client, we are seeking a Counsel | Employment Law to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will serve as a trusted legal partner on employment matters, helping guide day-to-day decision-making and reduce risk across the organization. The counsel will support leaders on a range of workplace issues, with a focus on performance management, terminations, investigations, and employment-related disputes. This position also plays an important role in drafting and reviewing employment documents while ensuring practices align with applicable federal and state requirements. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $110,000 – $130,000 annually Responsibilities Provide legal advice on employment-related matters, including performance management and terminations Conduct legal research on employment laws and regulations Draft and review employment agreements and related legal documents Assist with internal investigations and prepare findings Manage litigation holds and employment-related disputes Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction 2+ years of employment law experience, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations Strong legal research, analytical, drafting, and problem-solving skills Benefits Training and professional development opportunities Medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and families Health Savings Account (HSA) with employer contributions 401k with match and profit sharing 18 days of paid time off (PTO) accrued annually Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
