Counsel - Corporate

About the role

Cintas is seeking a Counsel – Corporate to provide in-house legal services to the Company with particular emphasis on contract review and negotiation. Under the general supervision of Senior Counsel and the Deputy General Counsel, the Counsel – Corporate will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, structuring, and negotiating commercial transactions on a day-to-day basis. This position will assist with collaborating and providing direction and support to Cintas leadership with negotiating terms and conditions of new or renewed customer and vendor contracts.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, structure, and negotiate commercial transactions on a day-to-day basis
• Collaborate with and provide direction and support to Cintas leadership on negotiating terms and conditions of new or renewed customer and vendor contracts
• Work directly with customers, vendors, and internal partners in negotiating terms and conditions and responding to bids, requests for proposal, etc.
• Provide training to partners on contract terms and conditions as well as government compliance matters
• Assist with proper compliance procedures and industry practices with respect to federal, state, and local government contracts (or be willing to learn)

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate Degree
• Admitted to a state bar
• Minimum 2 years of full-time relevant legal experience
• Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and intranet/internet
