About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Counsel to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will provide business-aligned guidance focused on governance, compliance, and operational risk management. You will partner with leaders, compliance stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate complex issues into practical recommendations. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen responsible execution, improve decision-making, and support sustainable growth within a regulated financial services environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $125,400 – $181,875 annually

Responsibilities

• Advise on the Advisers Act and related compliance requirements
• Guide compliance with the Exchange Act and corporate governance
• Ensure adherence to FINRA rules and broker-dealer regulations
• Research and analyze new state and federal laws affecting the business
• Collaborate with business teams to address legal issues
• Negotiate contracts with plan sponsors and clients
• Provide counsel on governance matters under relevant laws

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor / Law Degree from an accredited law school
• Active admission to at least one state bar in the U.S
• 2+ years of relevant legal experience
• Ability to clearly communicate legal concepts to non-lawyers
• Proven ability to build relationships with business clients
• Experience in a collaborative team environment
