About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist (Per Diem) to join our rehabilitation team. In this rewarding role, you will provide patient-centered care through medically prescribed occupational therapy programs designed to help individuals achieve their highest level of function and independence. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and play a key role in improving the quality of life for patients across a variety of settings.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, plan, organize, and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment programs.
- Deliver skilled therapeutic interventions that promote functional improvement and maximize patient potential.
- Practice within the scope of the Missouri Occupational Therapy Practice Act and maintain compliance with all applicable state, federal, and professional regulations.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, therapists, patients, and families to develop and achieve treatment goals.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and outcomes.
- Promote departmental growth and excellence by participating in special projects, quality initiatives, and patient care programs.
- Respond effectively and professionally during emergency situations when required.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
- Current Occupational Therapy license in the hiring state or eligibility for licensure.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Ability to respond appropriately to emergency situations.
Preferred Qualifications
- National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
