COTA (OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ASSISTANT)

Responsibilities

  • Provide occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
  • Support patients in activities of daily living (ADL) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL).
  • Apply treatment techniques and adaptive strategies to maximize patient safety and independence.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on adaptive equipment and techniques.
  • Monitor, document, and report patient progress toward treatment goals.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Current Pennsylvania COTA license (or eligibility required).
  • Experience in a skilled nursing or healthcare setting preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Professional, compassionate, and patient-focused demeanor.
