About the Role
Join TriStar Skyline Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) and become a vital part of a team helping patients regain independence and improve their quality of life. You’ll provide hands-on care alongside Occupational Therapists and an interdisciplinary team in an environment that values your expertise and supports your growth.
Responsibilities
- Administer occupational therapy treatments and adapt interventions as patient needs and abilities change.
- Support patients and families with education, encouragement, and practical strategies for recovery and independence.
- Document patient progress accurately and contribute input to care planning and interdisciplinary team discussions.
- Collaborate closely with Occupational Therapists to respond to changes in patient status and ensure safe, effective care.
- Serve as a trusted resource for patients, caregivers, and colleagues while fostering a positive, supportive care environment.
Requirements
- Associate Degree as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) or Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA).
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or CPR certification (must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date).

About the Facility
TriStar Skyline Medical Center is a 250+ bed facility and Tennessee's first comprehensive stroke center, as well as a national leader in neuroscience. The facility features:

- Burn care services and a CARF-accredited Inpatient Rehabilitation program.
- ACS-verified Level II Trauma Center designation.
