About the role

Functions as an interdisciplinary team member providing direct patient care and individualized care planning, implementation, and oversight of support staff. Performs daily treatments as outlined by the Primary Occupational Therapist. Maintains accurate and pertinent documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries on all scheduled patients in a timely and professional manner. Confers with staff members about patient care conferences, family education activities, and discharge planning. When needed, instructs patient and family in home treatment programs. Participates in rehabilitation development projects, including quality assessment and improvement program procedures, program evaluations, and peer reviews.

Requirements

• Associate Degree
• State Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date)
