About the Role
The Licensed Occupational Therapist Assistant provides home-based occupational therapy to patients, assisting in restoring their physical abilities within the scope of practice and state laws.
Responsibilities
- Follow treatment plans set by the supervising OT, adhering to state regulations.
- Instruct and assist patients, families, and caregivers in evidence-based therapy techniques.
- Observe, document, and report patient responses and condition changes to healthcare team members.
- Work effectively in diverse home environments, demonstrating cultural competence and adaptability.
Requirements
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the practicing state.
- Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, or access to reliable transportation.
- Preferred CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
- Knowledge of occupational therapy practices, patient care procedures, and safety protocols.
