Position Summary
The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant is responsible for providing therapy services that are planned, delegated and supervised by qualified Occupational Therapists in accordance with the patient's treatment plan.

3425 S Clarkson St, Englewood, CO 80113
Shift
Monday-Friday, PRN, Typical shifts are 8 hours. This opening is to assist in covering staff sick and PTO leave. You would typically work a full 8-hour day, and may cover multiple days or weeks at a time depending on the need.
Compensation
$26.24–$37.79/hour
Position Requirements
- Licensure/Certification/Registrations:
- Certified through NBCOT with an Occupational Therapy Assistant Certification
- Licensed as a COTA in CO (DORA) or in another state and an application made for Colorado certification- required
- A current BLS through the American Heart Association- required
- Education:
- Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant through an accredited institution by the American Occupational Therapy Association- required
- Experience:
- Tramatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) experience- preferred

- Must have the ability to apply strong clinical knowledge and decision-making regarding appropriate program progression for people with neurologic disabilities
- Possess basic computer skills
Essential Functions
- Administer the occupational therapy treatment plan as developed and instructed by the Occupational Therapist
- Perform non-complex active and passive manual therapeutic exercises, therapeutic massage, traction, heat, light, cold, water and electrical modalities of patients
- Affiliate with Occupational Therapist with assessing patients' fine motor and development skills for the purpose of determining their deficits and developing recommendations
- Consult, coordinate, communicate, and verbally present a patient’s Occupational Therapy program and progress to treating team members
- Review physician referral and all medical records pertaining to the patient’s condition
- Maintain treatment equipment and supplies in clean and proper working condition for the purpose of implementing motor/therapy goals
- Provide training for patients and families
- Participate in discharge planning, including home checkouts and recommends home modifications as requested
- Provide occupational therapy treatment in other department areas as requested
