Responsibilities
- Execute individual treatment plans for clients under the supervision of a licensed OTR supervisor.
- Regularly measure clinical signs and symptoms to determine effectiveness of treatment, progression towards goals, and openly communicate your findings to your supervising OTR.
- Complete all necessary documentation (Kareo notes) using the Company's electronic record system within the expected timeframe.
- Educate and train families about various OT techniques and strategies.
- Work with and develop strategies to overcome various behaviors.
- Meet minimum utilization goals / other business objectives as required.
- Collaborate with peers in other disciplines within Easy Speech for clients who are seen for multiple services.
- Complete Occupational Therapy treatments both in-person and via telehealth (if clinically appropriate).
- Work with a wide array of patients (age, race, ethnicity, etc).
Requirements
- Current knowledge of treatment practices and a drive to continually learn about and explore new treatment practices that may benefit our clients.
- Highly flexible and agile.
- Highly collaborative, team-oriented, and customer service driven.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited school or program.
- Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant License from the California Board of Occupational Therapy (CBOT).
- Current Registration with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit frequently or for prolonged periods of time.
- Physical abilities include lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, crouching, reaching, handling, fingering.
- Ability to talk and hear conversations.
- Near/far visual acuity, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision.
