About the role
As our Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will be a compassionate and integral part of our rehabilitation team, empowering patients to regain independence and enhance their quality of life. Every day, you will expertly implement Occupational Therapist-developed treatment plans for diverse patients including orthopedic, neurological, sensory, and cancer recovery cases. You’ll conduct interventions, provide motivating care, meticulously document progress, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate strong OT principles, excellent communication, and a passion for patient empowerment. Your flexibility, organization, and motivating team-player approach are paramount.
Responsibilities
- Implement Occupational Therapist-developed treatment plans for diverse patient populations.
- Conduct interventions and provide motivating care under therapist direction.
- Perform client tests and measurements as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
- Administer treatments as prescribed in the treatment plan.
- Evaluate effectiveness of treatment and report findings to the Occupational Therapist.
- Assist the Occupational Therapist with written treatment programs based on evaluations, diagnosis, and age-related policies.
- Implement and assess appropriate education per Plan of Care under Occupational Therapist delegation.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
- Oregon Occupational Therapy Assistant Licensure.
- AHA BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
Preferred
- Clinical experience in a broad-based rehabilitation facility.
Pay
$30.76 – $45.76 per hour
