Costume Shop Specialist/Seamstres

Responsibilities

• Aid in the day-to-day operation of show and park costume areas, including deliveries, pick-ups, troubleshooting, and communication.
• Write and update checklists, laundry sheets, and size chart logs.
• Assist in developing and implementing back area safety programs.
• Support production with performers backstage costume changes as needed.
• Provide specialized millinery services for costume pieces requiring special cleaning/handling.
• Hand and machine alter costumes.
• Hand and commercial launder costumes.
• Design new or alter costumes as required by production personnel.
• Conduct fittings and measurements for performers.
• Perform pattern cutting, alterations, and sewing of costumes.
• Contribute ideas and information for costume assembly.
• Operate specialized equipment such as industrial steam irons, sewing machines, washers, dryers, and park vehicles.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of special requests.
• Perform other millinery duties as necessary.
• Properly store all costume shop-related items.
• Support the Costume Production Supervisor, full-time supervisors, and manager.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate company vehicles.
• Ability to work late nights, holidays, and weekends as needed.
