Costing Support Specialist - Minneapolis

About the role

Viking Electric is seeking a Costing Support Specialist to support pricing, costing, and rebate processes across the business. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail, and effective communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare data and reports to support costing decisions.
• Manage vendor special pricing agreement submissions.
• Support rebate processing and resolve discrepancies.
• Respond to pricing requests and support sales teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve costing accuracy and processes.

Requirements

• 2+ years of office experience or a degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience working with Excel and business systems.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• High School Diploma/GED.

Qualifications

Highly preferred qualifications include:

• Experience with cost accounting software.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
• Experience with financial modeling and analysis.

Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong understanding of financial principles and practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Pay

Base Salary: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour

Schedule

Standard Daytime hours, Monday-Friday
