Cost Segregation Senior Associate
Job Description
Prepare and manage cost segregation studies for clients with diverse real estate holdings in varied industries.
Coordinate and collect information from our clients and our internal professionals relating to these studies.
Costing of all components of architectural, site, mechanical and electrical construction utilizing pricing manuals such as RS Means and Marshall & Swift as well as industry accepted techniques and methods.
Willingness to travel in and out of state, up to 30% and comfortable with occasional overnight travel for site inspections.
Build relationships internally to foster a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
Provide a “wow” experience to every client.
Contribute to the success of our clients’ organizations.
Your Desired Skills, Knowledge And Abilities
- 2+ years of relevant cost segregation experience in public accounting or industry such as a boutique tax firm. Consideration will be given for experience in other disciplines such as architecture, construction management, engineering or appraisal fields also.
- Strong understanding of building construction principles.
- Proficient in Microsoft software including Excel and Word.
- Possess a working knowledge on RS Means and Marshall & Swift estimating guides.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, construction management, architecture, or engineering.
- Able to read blueprints and construction drawings including electrical, mechanical, civil and architecture.
- Able to communicate effectively with client personnel and other Rehmann professionals.
- Able to effectively self-manage.
- Knowledge of the federal income tax depreciation aspects would be desired.
- Outstanding client service and communication skills.
